In other news, Sony-BMG announced the release of a remastered version of 1995's Southpaw Grammar complete with new artwork and three unreleased tracks! July is mentioned for the release but no specific date is given. Morrissey has said time and time again how much he hates the artwork so hopefully this will give him the chance to re-org the visual here - if in fact he is involved in the project.
Of all the Morrissey albums to get the first remaster we are surprised but not disappointed - Southpaw is a great Moz record. A sort of secret fan favorite to many although it carries a strange reputation for being one of the least loved albums due to its obvious stray from the usual Morrissey format.

When I saw this news today, I thought "why would they choose this record to remaster/expand/reissue? I don't remember really loving it when it came out and I barely know the songs. I know, blasphemy, right?
Anyway, I put it on and thought, "this is a lot better than I remember." So maybe it will become a closet favorite for me too. Very, very intrigued about the bonus tracks. If they are indeed unreleased, well, that would be awesome!
