Shortly following the announcement of the Morrissey Live At The Hollywood Bowl DVD, Mozzer has spoken out on the release and he is not happy. In fact he is asking you, the fan, not to buy it. Uh Moz we love ya but come on. As fans you expect us not to buy a live DVD of yours which we really want to see?
In the words of the man himself via a statement on True To You -
The slapdash release of Morrissey live at the Hollywood Bowl
is done by Warner without any consultation to me whatsoever, and is in
breach of their terms as laid out by themselves in an agreement made
for the film between Warner and my ex-manager. Being Warner,
predictably the sleeve art is appalling. It is the work of cash-hounds,
and I urge people NOT to buy it. I am not signed to Warner, and no
royalties from this dvd will come to me. Please spend your money
elsewhere.
thank you, MORRISSEY.

You know... I love the man, but please. What happened between the time they filmed the show and now? Did someone step on his toe?
