Is the world ready for yet another Smiths compilation? Warner Brothers sure thinks so. The label will release Hang The DJ: The Very Best Of as a two-disc set on September 15th in the UK.
We do feel however that this collection is a bit more complete then most of the previous attempts.
The second disc compiles a few more rarities for the casual fan. It is great to see stuff like Jeane and Meat Is Murder (Live at Oxford Apollo) included.

Unfortunately, from what I've seen the second disc is going to be a lot less interesting than that. It's still a decent compilation (with this material, how could it not?) but it's not what the die-hards are looking for.
