One of our favorite finds this year is New Zealand's Cut Off Your Hands. 

RCRD LBL is featuring an exclusive download of a track called An Iron Sleep.  The song originally appears as a hidden track on the band's Happy As Can Be EP.

Damon Albarn confirms Blur reunion (for now)

Yes, yes, yes and yes!

It is finally looking official folks. 

NME.com reports that all four original members of Blur will reunite for rehearsals. 

Albarn commented on the reunion today in London, just prior to taking the stage for a one-off performance of his opera Monkey: Journey To The West

In response to a question regarding a possible Blur reunion from BBC host Janice Long, Albarn stated "Blur are certainly going to rehearse and see if we're into it."

This is pretty historic actually, as it marks the return of guitarist Graham Coxon to the band. 

Let's hope those rehearsals go well and the guys can put their differences behind them. 

Blur are one of our favorite bands so this comes as pretty great news to us. 

The Killers play "Jimmy Kimmel Live"

As we mentioned previously, The Killers performed for Jimmy Kimmel Live last night to celebrate the release of their new album Day & Age.   

Brandon Flowers once again appears in his (now) signature feathered jacket. 

Don't forget the band are also set to play The Tonight Show With Jay Leno this evening.

Depeche Mode studio tease #3

The third installment has hit the web.  The new clip takes us beyond the former :30 teasers and provides a peek at Martin Gore perfecting a guitar riff in the studio.  Dave Gahan is there as well, humming along to the track in progress.  Whatever the jam is they are working on, it sounds pretty cool. The temptation of new Depeche Mode continues....

The Killers set to record "Jimmy Kimmel live", Brandon Flowers does press - everywhere

Good news for Los Angeles Killers fans.  Head on out to the Virgin Megastore on Hollywood Boulevard to purchase the album on monday, release date.  Those who purchase the album at Virgin will recieve a wristband that will grant you access to the band's taping of the Jimmy Kimmel Live show later that evening.

For those of you how have not heard, the Day & Age release date was moved up one day from the 25th to the 24th.  A new release on a Monday??

Mute Math's Darren King gets drum (and light) crazy

Mute Math's drummer Darren King shot a really cool video comprised of a crazy drum jam set to lights.  The whole thing was filmed in one room.  He beats the drums and the lights flash along accordingly.  It probably doesn't make sense reading about it so just watch below. 

Mute Math are currently in the studio working on their second album due in Spring of 2009.  The guys are getting lots of attention right now with the inclusion of their new track Spotlight on the mega-selling, huge soundtrack for the film Twilight. 

Dengue Fever go acoustic, on a balcony, in Dublin

Los Angeles-based Dengue Fever got all acoustic on a balcony in Dublin for Balcony TV recently.  Singer Chhom Nimol and guitarist Zac Holztman performed an unplugged version of Tiger Phone Card.

Sondre Lerche readies "Polaroid Pumpkin Party" EP for East Coast dates

Sondre Lerche kicks off a quick tour of the East Coast tomorrow night in New York City at The Bowery Ballroom.  He will be selling a very limited EP titled Polaroid Pumpkin Party.  Sondre sold a similar EP on his recent West Coast tour called the Polaroid Pool Party.  The Pumpkin Party version features one track not found on the Pool Party edition. The rest of the EP is made up of the five tracks that appeared on the Pool Party release.  All of the EPs are handmade and each one comes with a Polaroid of Sondre and his friends celebrating recent events - Halloween or election night.
