It's just about time for our favorite "holiday" of the year, Record Store Day.
Though we feel like we celebrate our cherished local records stores weekly, and oh do we ever, it's the one day a year to really show support and make it official. We will be heading out to pick up lots of Record Store Day exclusives, as well as partaking in our usual perusal for additions to the never ending vinyl collection.
Lots of great releases this year, a few we are excited about below:
Deftones Rocket Skates 7", features an M83 remix of the track on the flip side. Digital download code included - bonus!
Goldfrapp vinyl version of Head First complete with poster and CD of the full album. This one is out there now at select shops.
MGMT Siberian Breaks 12", single sided, etched.
Of Montreal Back To School (Royal Trux cover) and Subtext Read (new track) on 7" vinyl. Also includes Nothing New.
Ted Leo & The Pharmacists The Oldest House/North Coast 7"
R.E.M. Chronic Town EP reissue on blue vinyl, numbered.
Bird and The Bee vinyl version of Interpreting The Masters: Volume 1, A Tribute To Daryl Hall and John Oates
Those are just a few in in a long line of releases planned. Click here for a full list.
