The Dandy Warhols plan collection of their work with Capitol Records

Courtney, Zia, Pete and Brent will release The Capitol Years 1995 - 2007, their best of from their best days. 

The collection features one unreleased track titled This Is The Tide.  How great is the procession of Good Morning, Godless, Get Off and Bohemian Like You?  Some of our favorite Dandy tracks of all time.  It would have been cool to see a bonus disc of b-sides and rarities, maybe somewhere down the line?  The band also announced that they will tour the U.S. and Australia in support.  Dates expected soon. 

The Capitol Years releases July 19th internationally and August 24th in the U.S.

Random video of the week #50 - The Bravery "Slow Poison"

We saw The Bravery guys out at a party over the weekend and it reminded us how much we loved the band's last album, Stir The Blood.   In fact, looking back, it stands as their strongest body of work.  

The album's lead off single, Slow Poison, boosted a great video that we are running as this week's random pick.

We really need to pick up Stir The Blood on vinyl.

Peter Murphy announces new album, "Ninth"

Peter Murphy will release his ninth studio album this fall, appropriately titled Ninth. 

Murphy released a statement regarding the album -

“I have had my Ninth album ready to go for a while now,” Peter explains. “I’ve been playing it live, alongside Bauhaus classics and my own hits, long before the official release and it’s added more stardust to the long shelf life of songs I have under my belt.”

Lovin' this news on the day we happened to pick up a mint copy of Deep on vinyl. 

Murphy will also hit the road for some pretty global dates this summer -

Brandon Flowers may have the gun for Crossfire, but Kalxon's have the cat in the space suit.  I mean come on, the cat takes it, right? 

Klaxons will release Surfing The Void, August 23rd.
