Black Rebel Motorcycle Club have a little holiday gift for us all. The guys are giving away a free track over on their official site. The holiday download is the fourth in what has become a yearly tradition from the band.
The gift is a a little tune called A Fine Way To Lose (Drunken Demo), and their site notes -
"If you've seen the band over the course of the past year, whether it be
on stage, outside by the tour bus, bus or in a subway tunnel, you've
probably heard A Fine Way To Lose."
You need to be a site member to download the track. Click hereto sign up for membership.
It seems Mike Sinner has taken a page out of Morrissey'svideo treatment book and employed a bit of his own walking tactic in the clip for new song The Escapist. Morrissey walks and walk and walks in most of his videos. Skinner does bit of his own walking here although unlike the Moz vids, we watch Skinner travel from behind where Moz is always walking straight at us.
Confused yet? Just watch the video for The Escapist fromThe Streetsupcoming album Everything Is Borrowed due September 15th.
Head on over to the official site for The Streets to download the track in exchange for a simple e-mail address.
We linked you to the stream of the track the day and now we've got the download for you. Cold War Kids madness is on the upswing with the band's new album Loyalty To Loyalty on the way September 23rd. High hopes off Something Is Not Right With Me.

The Music just released a video for their current single Strength In Numbers. The track is taken from their upcoming album of the same name. We had to do a few double takes to make sure it was actually Robert Harvey still fronting the band. He looks like a completely different guy with the shaved head!
Strength In Numbers (the album) is due June 9th in the UK.

If you happen to be in London on the 16th of June you can score yourself even more free Coldplay when the guys play live, free show at Brixton Academy. Not in London? How about New York on June 23rd for another free show at Madison Square Garden?
We have always been sort of indifferent to Coldplay but there is something in Violet Hill that really catches our ear. This makes us anxious to hear more of the new record which has a cover that looks exactly like this -
The painting was done by French Romantic painter Eugène Delacroix back in 1803. Not exactly Coldplay-like but maybe they are trying to mix it up a bit?
