I met lead "President" Chris Ballew once outside of my office, he was a cool guy. The band's got a new video for their track Ladybug, taken from their new album These Are The Good Times People. The record is out now on Cooking Vinyl.

Canadian indie rockers Said The Whale have made a pretty big splash in their homeland and it's starting to seep over to the U.S.
The band's current album, Howe Sounds/Taking Abalonia, is a combination of their debut album (Taking Abalonia) and seven newer tracks.

It seems Mike Sinner has taken a page out of Morrissey's video treatment book and employed a bit of his own walking tactic in the clip for new song The Escapist. Morrissey walks and walk and walks in most of his videos. Skinner does bit of his own walking here although unlike the Moz vids, we watch Skinner travel from behind where Moz is always walking straight at us.

The Music just released a video for their current single Strength In Numbers. The track is taken from their upcoming album of the same name. We had to do a few double takes to make sure it was actually Robert Harvey still fronting the band. He looks like a completely different guy with the shaved head!
Strength In Numbers (the album) is due June 9th in the UK.

We have always been sort of indifferent to Coldplay but there is something in Violet Hill that really catches our ear. This makes us anxious to hear more of the new record which has a cover that looks exactly like this -
The painting was done by French Romantic painter Eugène Delacroix back in 1803. Not exactly Coldplay-like but maybe they are trying to mix it up a bit?
