The below is one of our favorite live clips of The Smiths - ever. Moz and crew perform I Know It's Over on the 1986 Queen Is Dead Tour at the University of Salford. It's a perfect performance done so raw and pure. I can't really think of anything musical that compares in quite the same way -

For this installment of "vintage" we are Looking all the way back to this live Depeche Mode performance of Photographic back in 1983.
To this day the track still remains one of our favorites. Photographic was also the first song the band ever recorded. It originally appeared on the band's 1981 debut Speak & Spell during the Vince Clarke years.
All the way back to 1979. Check out Robert Smith. He is so young. You would never recognize the guy here. The signature hair, the lipstick and the white sneakers are all missing. Just a normal looking guy in hot pink pants rocking out to an early version of A Forest which was called At Night at the time. Notice the different lyrics as well. The video is taken from a French TV show called Chorus.
At Night went on of course to be a title to one of the tracks on the band's album Seventeen Seconds.
The Cure's thirteenth album 4:13 is due next week.
