According to Depeche Mode fan site Home, the guys will release a new concert film shot during their 2009 Tour Of The Universe. The footage was recorded during the band's stop in Barcelona.
Home states that the release will include a 40 minute documentary, the Anton Corbjin videos shot for the stage screens, NYC pre-tour rehearsal footage, promotional videos (Wrong, Peace, Hole To Feed and Fragile Tension), as well as a 16 page booklet. A deluxe edition will include an additional booklet.
Looking forward to cover art, exact release dates, final details, and more in the weeks to come.
Hands down, Stornoway remain our favorite musical discovery of the year. Their debut, Beachcomber's Windowsill, is our top pick for album of the year (to date). The guys recently recorded a 4AD Session at The Rotunda in thier hometown of Oxford.
Check out Fuel Up below. The full session includes Fuel Up, On The Rocks, Here Comes The Blackout, and Watching Birds. View in its entiriry here.
Brandon Flowers brought Crossfire to the Kimmel audience last night. Did he really have to bust out that damn vest again?!? Flamingo was released yesterday in the U.S.
We can't even go into how f**king amazing Janette Beckman's work is. We just caught her show in LA at Project Space. It was phenomenal. Her career has covered some of the most important musical movements in history - the late 70's British punk, mod and 2-Tone scenes and birth of hip hop in the early 80's in NYC.
Beckman's snapshot of Adam Ant above is one of our favorites. A very quitenessential young Ant in London, taken in 1980. Shot just before Ant-Mania was about to break in the UK and beyond.
Do yourself a favor and check out Beckman's other work. She's got two great books out there as well that are worh picking up.

Everyone has jammed to this groove at one time or another. I remember living up in the Bay, and this track just rocking the clubs long before anybody actually knew who EMF was. The band actually played the SF hood a few times and I'll always remember the EMF shows as some of the craziest, wildest live events to take place during the 90's. They even spawned a huge pit, yes pit, at each show - who would have thought?
Take it away -
Bryan Ferry recruited Supermodel Kate Moss for the cover of his upcoming album Olympia, due October 25th. Ferry collaborated with Nile Rodgers on the record - among others, including his ex-Roxy Music band mates Phil Manzanera, Andy Mackay and Brian Eno.
Check out the video for You Can Dance below -
Love this track from The Go-Go's. Probably runs second in our Go-Go's list next to Lust To Love, a pretty unbeatable song. We are drawn to their more "dark" leaning stuff vs. the overly cheery, happy, poppy material. The below performance was shot in 1981 at Palos Verde High School in Southern California. The show was later released on video under the title Totally Go-Go's Live.
Time for new music from one of our favorites from the great Northwest. The Thermals return with Personal Life, due next Tuesday, the 7th.
Head over to NPR for a full album listening stream. Click here to get it all started. We're giving it our first spin now.

The collection features a brand new Friendly Fires track, Stay Here, created in conjuntion with Toronto House folks Azari & III.
Listen here. We really dig it. Signature Fires for sure, but a few steps beyond the usual.

And then there were three... the trimmed down version of Interpol just released their video for Barricade. The track is taken from their upcoming selt-titled fourth album.
The band had this to say about the shoot on their official site -
Check out our new video for Barricade. It was directed by Moh Azima and was shot at the Floyd Bennett Airfield in Brooklyn. It was a long day and there was lots of mosquitoes but it all was worth it.
Kind of an interesting video actually...
I think we like the deluxe edition cover vs. the standard version. Actually, we keep going back and forth. We love this whole photo shoot. What does the deluxe edition include besides the obvious actual album?
Two remixes
Two non-album tracks
8 page booklet
12 panel posterfold
